Default Busy Weekend with lots of Fish and Several Doubles

Had a great weekend starting friday night with a salt water trip on local bay with tear em up and crappie dude. We were trying for flounder and after a couple of hours did catch one, 2" shy of legal, just enough to tick off tear em up. Well during out fishing I was relating a story to the guys about fishing with my dad 40 years ago in the same area and going out every night in out old 16' starcraft tri-hull and trolling for snapper blues, relating past times. While doing this tear em up was watching some birds work in the same area, just like they used to???? So we ran over and I had my one rod rigged with a buck tail and when we got up in the area where the birds were I gave it a good wing and bam, snapper on! Tear em up immediatly tossed a double rig he had with gulps on and bam he had one on two which he immediatly handed to crappie dude, did we have fun tangling with those snappers and to ice the cake the dude actually caught his 1st bluefish ever, and 2nd too since he had 2 on! pretty neat till the blues went to bed we caught 6 or 8 and if we were prepared with steel leaders we would have had alot more, but thats ok we got there number now so looks like a lot of fish cakes in our futures!
I also had a visit from an old friend saturday afternoon who lives in fla now and he got his license and I took him out to catch some crappie sunday morning. We started real early on a local pond and fished for about 1 1/2 hours and caught 8 crappie and several perch and sunnies. So we went for a nice breakfast then headed over to the private lake we have been fishing for the last year and caught a bunch of crappie like 23. My friend was working my planner boobers on each side of the boat and actually had 2 doubles since i have then rigged with 2 jigs, one with a sunnie and perch and one with crappies, pretty neat for him too since hes never really crappie fished before, I was happy to see him have such success, heres a couple of pics of him with his 1st crappie and 1st double.
Im glad to get my friend intrested since he lives about 1/2 a mile from lake monroe in central fla one of the st johns river chain of lakes, one of the larger ones at that so now I hope he will do a little exploring so when I get down there next time he will know some of the hot spots there. I will be cool to learn how to fish on a lake 1/2 the size of the county I live in.
