    Default Deep Cycle Battery Chargers

Does anyone have any recommendation on buying a 12 volt trolling motor battery charger? I was thinking about picking up one of those portable Minn-Kota 10 amp deals....I picked up one of those portable units at Harbor Freight and I guess I got what I paid for....Junk!!!! It barely lasted one season and crapped out...

hey steve, i got one this year and then bren bought tear em up one too for xmas, i like it, and talk to tear em up i dont think he likes it as much as i do but he likes it better than the antique he had. im pretty sure i got it at wal mart and its set up to charge any battery from a small lawnmower batttery to a car battery. what i like about it it shows you how much of a charge is in the battery when you start and shows as its charging what % it is at, although we have found out you sometimes have to unhook it and rehook it to get a change in the % of charging. it also wont overcharge and actually conditions the battery if you forget about it and does not fry it, somthing to do with de sulfinateing the battery?? i could be wrong on my terminology and ill get back to you with the model and name of it, but send tear em a pm and see what he thinks too. talk to you soon. gduck

I used the digital one from walmart for a very long time with no problems.I like it cause it shows a digital reading when you hook up of how charged the battery is and it shuts off automatically.I cant remember the name of it, but its in automotive and its black and gray colored. They still have them at my local walmart. It worked great for me. I got an onboard charger first of the year for the convienence of charging all three at once instead of having to go rotate my charger around.

"DUAL PRO" is the absolute best on the market - 3 year unconditional warranty.
I bought a 3 bank from them. Almost to the day 3 years later 1 bank quit. I called them and they sent me a new one for free and a shipping lable to send the old one back.
I would buy another from them in a heart beat if I needed one !

The 15 more we caught on mon. were all short most were from 16" to 18" though . In my opinion they should be keepers but NMF's doesn't agree. Its fun fishing though we're using 8lb test with light rods and 1\4 oz jig head with a 4"gulp swimming mullet. Might try a daybreak till 8am trip in the am before I gotta cross the bridge. Took the old lab for a swim tonight Gduck meet us there and shot the bull with us we walked along the edge of the marsh grass saw where some crabs been sheddin might have to take a siene in there some time, water was warm and crystal clear it will get churned up when the weekenders get here though.
