Eating fish eggs is like eating chicken feet. WHY?

Yeah, but they only get dirty on the outside. Few weeks ago I went to a local meat processor and bought 2 bellies and a half dozen hocks, cured 'em and smoked them. Picked the meat off the hocks and made bean soup and canned it, and the bellies made some fine home-made bacon.

But I still ain't eating fish roe cookies.

INGrandad, you make a country boy proud. Speaking of canning, started this week with the picking of my first couple of bushels of snap beans. Looking forward to putting up enough to last until next spring.

Already? I just planted peas a couple of weeks ago and they barely got their noses out of the ground. What a difference 1026 miles makes, huh?

My son would rather eat the eggs than the fillets from any variety of fish. My egg favorite and one I'm surprised hasn't been mentioned is red roe from mullet, a south Georgia delicacy. Usually mixed in grits or chicken eggs or both.
