Not a big Carlisle fan. Seen lots of problems with these tires. Goodyear Marathon are a trailer radial and seem more dependable. Are you over weighted on your trailer? This will cause problems with tire failure quick as anything.

I am having problems with my tires also. I keep check of my pressure which is suppose to be 50#. On my last trip to Talquin(4 hrs) the pressure was 42# and I noticed a wear and cupping on the inside of each tire. Increased the pressure back to 50. Now I am noticing a wear on the outside. I had the trailer rebuilt with a new axle and tires 12 months ago. My concern is how they did the alignment of the axle when installed. I am going to check with my mechanic and see who in Brooksville does alignment on trailers.

I had 6 ply bias. tires on my 16' 8' javlin and pulled it from cartersville ga over to the Carolinas and put 3 sets of tires on in about 18 mo. the dealer said that the bias tire couldn't take the speed that i was runnin on the interstates and said that if I put radials on that my problems would go away. I put them on and have only replaced 1 tire in 12 yrs. scince.

It's the other way around. Bias plys get the flat spots...radial plys don't.

They all get flat spots. My truck may go some stretches of 2 weeks between being driven. The Michelin LTX on it feel like I'm driving the Flinstones car until they round back up.

Manufactors have been putting radial tires on boats, campers, 18 wheelers for years. If you buy a tire rated for the weight it is carrying you should not have a problem. If your axles are out of line the tire will wear on one side. A lot of people have trouble with the right side tire because it is the one that takes the most abuse (running off road etc). Of course there is a lot that can be said about bias tires too they have passed the test of time.
