Another lake tragedy

I fish this lake and it is out of control on the weekends. I am sure there are many others around that are just as bad. My prayers go out to the fishermans family.

love your logo, but looks like wait till next year again!!! imagine a 30 ft blue water racer, on an inland lake, its a big lake sure, but those things are like fleas on a dog here in southern KY.

As bad as we hate it guess pleasure boaters are something we have to live with. I respect their right to be on the water-problem is most of them dont do the same!!Had 3 pulling tubes come straight at me this morning in a no ski zone-guess most of em cant read either!!Their really bad here this time of year so i try to fish early or about dark!!Had a little girl killed here last year while tubing by her grandfather[sure be tuff to live with that],a lady lost her leg over the 4th-swiming around a pontoon an a drunk started the engine.D.N.R. needs to crackdown on them before it gets worse!!

I was on the lake last night getting ready to night fish and seen some nut pulling a skier and it was almost totally dark out.

We've been keeping an eye out for a body in Hamilton. Feller dropped his drinking buddy off from his pontoon boat about 2:00 Sunday morning and nobody has seen him since. Some fisherman found the pontoon boat going in circles with no one onboard. They had divers out looking for him for a couple days but they don't know where he went in so that's pretty futile in a 7,000 acrle lake. He should come floating up in another day or two unless he's in real deep, cold water - then he may never come up. Only 42-years old - seems like a waste.

Finally found the body this week. Men working on some new condos noticed him floating near the shore. The man's family hired a sonar boat to look for him after the sheriff’s office gave up but they weren't able to locate him. He wasn't far from where his pontoon was found and the area that was searched. There’s no telling what happened that put him in the water but if the guy had just worn his life jacket it would have saved his family a lot of anguish.

I’m just glad we didn’t find him – could have spoiled a fishing trip and made for some haunting memories for some folks. We took pictures of that 12-year old girl and her big bass last week in a dock right in front of the condos where he was found (the condos are in the background).
