Thanks gooch, I have 2 Brinkmanns on order and plan on a night stalk or two next week.

Brian I hook up 2 brinkmans to a Wally World battery and they run from dusk to dawn. Now they are just about used up at the end of the night but they will 100% for sure run all night.

I have made two prototype light holders that I plan on using this weekend. They still need to be painted, but I wanted to here some opinions. Also, I show some pictures of some yet to be release condos. I have put out some bamboo, pvc, and a mixture. If you notice, in the last picture the bamboo sticking out of the pvc. I pre-drill holes for screws and I let the bamboo stick down into the pvc about 1 to 1.5 feet then I shoot 2 screw through it. This is easier for me because I can assemble them when I get to the spot. The long pvc you see is not yet glued. The pvc is real short at the base (so it won't stick up far out of the boat) then I will glue it when I get out there. Last time i went out I had the pvc/bamboo combo and a guy follow me until I stopped and he would ride by ever few minutes to see if he could catch me placing them. Needless to say he didn't catch me. LOL!

Hey FalconSmitty
If I go to Bass Pro, what is the true name of the Q-beam light so I know exactly what to look for?
Hey,
I think it is starfire, they have it on the website, but not at my local store.

I ordered 2 of them from Cabela's... even though they are not listed on their web site. Same price as BPS.

Two qbeams hooked to one battery is a quick drain on a battery.I try to go one per battery to get a full nights fishing in.The floaters do just as good a job and dont use nearly the electricity as the quartz lights.Originally Posted by BamaBrian

I use group 31 batteries(AC Delco and Stowaway) and have had no problem running several Q-beams/livewell/interior lights, etc. Always get the biggest batteries with the most reserve minutes. The tiny group 27 for $39 at wallyworld batteries are not sufficient. Not saying that is what you use, just that I see alot of guys buying the cheapest battery that they can get and always running out of power. The $70 price tag is well worth it .Originally Posted by big "E"
