I have about a 30 yard drag from the road to the pond. Bass Pro has some that say they are 100 pounds. A couple slightly bigger ones say they are about 125. I'm thinking I can handle that although kinda worried it might be heavy to drag back slightly uphill from pond to truck again. Of course I will remove all the heavy items.

Maybe attach a small winch from harbor freight and pull it up on homemade bunker planks.

I have a little pedal boat and i will tell you that you do not want to drag it! They will be 100 pounds yes when putting them in the water but when you take them out they weigh about 50 pounds more

I have a Sportsman III that I love. It will float in about 6 or 8 inches of water with two 175 lb guys, battery, and tackle in it. I used to load it by myself in my S-10, but have since built a trailer for the four wheeler and it works even better. I've thought about putting a winch on the front of the trailer and it would pull it right up the ramp.

Father-in-law and me have been fishing out of it for years. With a 34# on the back, it'll move along just fine. It's very stable. Just ain't much room for all the crap that we take with us.
If you are a veteran or active military, THANK YOU.

Personally I'd like to have a small boat like that for my local community pond. I'm just wondering how many rod holders I could fit on it for trolling.
To heck with work, lets go fishing.

My brother and I fished out of a boat like that for years. We caught alot of fish out of that boat and made alot of great memories. Never had much problem dragging it around and it held up fine to many years of use/abuse from us. Largest lake we used it on was a 500 acre state lake (idle speed only). A 55 pound trolling motor did the job well for us. Hope you enjoy your boat....we sure loved ours.

I had the same isse with the two small boats I owned . Every time I let off the trolling motor to cast , the boat would spin around . I made up a rudder from a small oar to attach to the transom .
They are tipsy boats too . I bought a Gheenoe , canoe type boat that is actually more stable .
