I will never forget the tournament that he lost the BIG ONE! Was watching a fishing tourney on tv and saw KVD being filmed when he hooked into a big fish late in the event. Fought it to the boat and when he tried to net it, the back hook of the crankbait got caught on the outside of the net just enough to let the fish shake it out. It was almost in slow motion. I almost cried for this man! All he could say is, NO NO NO NO NO NO!!! After the moment had past, he said that it was the biggest fish he had ever hooked then hung his head in shame. Although, he is the MAN when it comes to bass fishing.

I'm a huge Kevin fan. I've done more bass fishing in my life than I have crappie. I'm still new to this crappie thing.

I love the show "The Bass Pros" when it's on. He usually has the first segment and he just explains things in a way that I can understand. He's not focused on trying to sell a particular item or filling his time slot with "Looky here... another fish" kind of stuff. I'd love to meet him someday if he's in any way as nice as he is on TV.

Dude KVD! Hes the man. Fantastic fishermen, and wouldnt suprise me if he could woop us all even at crappie fishin!

Thats super neat to see him just out fishin on the water. Id love to do that someday haha.

They weren't actually fishing, they were doing a photo shoot for StrikeKing. There were a bunch of pro's at the lake that day. BlueBank was covered up with em'. We met some more pro's at the gas station. Most of those guys are really nice. Glad "IKE" wasn't there...hear he is a pain in the backside.

Funny you bring up bass fisherman..i met gerald swindle last year in indy at a convention..i told him we fished CUSA and his wife who is with him says, "ya, winning those tourneys is his next goal!" he said when he retires he will fish those tourneys...see i told you, EVERYONE is a slabmaster at heart!!!!!!

Yeah, I think they were all passing around the same fish and posing with it. Funny thing is, the fish they were using was smaller than the four pounder my partner caught that day.
