I read an article in a magazine several years ago that stated crappie are the second most aggressive fish preceeded only by shad. It recommended not putting crappie in small ponds saying they would overpopulate and dominate any food source. Once they overpopulate, there is not enough food supply to stimulate growth, just enough to keep them alive. I remember fishing a pond like this about 15 years ago and the crappie were so thin that you could almost read a newspaper through them. Though they were alot of fun to catch, you couldnt make a meal out of them.

Ya but I have but alot of white bass in there and 2 bluegills hopefully they will even out the population. If nothing else I hope at least one of the fish will work out out of all the fish I have put in there. (bluegill, crappie and white bass)

When do fish spawn? I guess it would depend on what fish
