I'm going to try pulling some crankbaits when it warms up some, but for right now, jigs are wearing 'em out. I just had 1 1/16 oz. jig tied on all my rods on Sat. I started with a couple of 1/8 oz. on their too, but they kept hitting the bottom and since I didn't want to speed up b/c I felt the fish liked the speed I was running at, I just swapped them to 1/16 oz. jigs. Next time, I'm going to mix in some 1/32 oz. jigs and see if i can get a hold of any fish holding higher up. I've heard that bigger fish will sometimes suspend less than 5 ft. down when the water is in the 40's. I'll be doing a little more experimenting with it. High Rock is in NC about 30 miles north of Charlotte, right near Salisbury.

try 1/8 or 1/4 oz roadrunners in chartruse with a 3"curly tail grub. Black with chartruse tail is best on most days. Works best in 12' or less. Great on stump flats.. The grub is important as it helps keep the RR running straight. They are bad to roll (line twist) with tubes.

Drill Instructor - you mentioned you troll year around. What is your summer trolling strategy (let's say June to Sept)?

Anyone else have comments just pitch in.

    Just thinking ahead.
