might be me , just depends on who ya are and how much you want to ketch some crappie ......
sometimes when folks can't find them and or are kinda desperate to ketcha few , I give up a location er 2 .....
this particular spot never seems to produce fish with size to them crappie wise and never a black crappie either
not sure why , that spot has good numbers of them downstream and managed a few up stream too ....
but for some odd reason the only crappie at that location seem to run small and always white crappie .
mind you this about that , the spot was passed to me by another bank scout back when and neither of us ever managed any larger crappie there either ....
I have not visited it in a few years even though it is 5 minutes from my job . H wanted to try his hand at the river crappie and I sent him to my black crappie spot down there on the west fork and he struck out twice ...
so I told him to go down to downtown under the really big bridge with the paint job on it on the the clear fork ..... told him to hit the east side of it and pay attention to the 2 or 3 or more telephone pole looking things on the banks on opposite sides of the river ....
they are old bridge supports from the whatever bridge that was there before the biggun and there is line of them under the water all the way across the river !
well true to form he found the paint job under that big bridge and right quickly found a bunch of small white crappie , said the bite was ridiculous good , but nothing much over 9 or 10 inches ....
sent me a bunch of lil crappie fish pictures and I asked him if he had fun anyway and he said YES
and I said KABOOM bro
p.s. look close at image 3 and you can see them old bridge supports on the off side right by the bank against the concrete ......
