Colorado Advice
I'll be flying in to Denver the week of September 19th and will be there for about a week and would like to do a little fishing while I'm there. Anyone have any recommendations on travel rods, species to target, places to try, and general tips on fishing the waters there? I know the west coast mentality of fishing and outdoors in general differs vastly from how it is here in Alabama.
I would also like to know if there's any tackle I can bring to try in the waters there. I would like to keep from buying too much while I'm there!

Fly fish for trout. That’s what I’ll be doing in Colorado next week. LOL

LOL i'll take a hard pass on the fly fishing.

Ultra light setup and rooster tails work well for trout or any species. I've fished Oklahoma, New Mexico and Colorado with good success without ever using a fly rod. If I lived out there I definitely would learn it, but it's not a necessity.
I don't know much about Denver. I prefer the western slope of the Rocky's.
