    Default Yamaha lower unit

I have a 25hp yamaha that has gear damage. It has taken on water ever since I’ve owned it and I’m thinking real seriously about replacing it. Has anyone ever ordered one online?

Bought some parts from outboard recyclers years ago. Lot cheaper than that way.

Hold on Bud, is it a 2-stroke? If so I have a complete unit sitting here that went underwater in Hurricane Katrina. I will make you a deal so cheap the rest of the engine goes with it.

4 stroke 2011 model. Sounds like a good deal though.

I have one 25hp 4 stroke but I would need to get more for it. It was run hot once enough that the rings lost tension lowering the compression. It's a pull start. I will check what year it was made and post later today. I don't want to sell just the lower unit but will make you a deal on the complete engine and you just have spare parts. I've kept it since it is easy to rebuild.

It's no worries bud, glad you're getting your boat fixed.
