    Question Lifepo4 Battery ....

Purchased an ECO-Worthy 50ah Lithium Iron Phosphate battery & charger. Primary use of battery will be to run my Garmin 93sv/Livescope setup.

I have already received the charger, and the battery should be here in a day or two. Both will likely see use by next week sometime.

Anyone else ever use this brand of battery, and if so .... what was your experience with it ??

The only "con" I can see with the charger is that it's not made for outdoor use ... but, since the battery only weighs ~11lbs it's not going to be all that much of a problem charging it at home or when lodging away from home.

I will follow up with more reports after I've had a chance to use it and gauge its performance.

There seems to be a discrepancy between what my MK220 onboard charger and my new ECO-Worthy Smart Charger thinks "Fully Charged" means. Starter battery & AGM trolling motor battery were left hooked up over the last 2weeks. I'm going tomorrow, so I checked them with the smart charger and it said both were "good" and at 80%. I figured the "good" meant the battery was functional & the 80% was from them having been hooked up (in the boat) for 2 weeks. Not wanting to end up with a "dead" battery tomorrow, I brought the batteries in and hooked them up with the onboard charger. Within 30secs the charger said both were "fully charged" (as evidenced by the green light). I hooked the smart charger up to the AGM battery and it's saying the charge level is 14.8v, but it's still flashing on the screen that the battery is not yet charged to 100%.
It did the same thing on the starter battery, but that sucker is from 2019 ... so I had already purchased a new starter battery, and that new one is now the primary starter battery.
The ECO smart charger has a LED screen, but it's very hard to read (as is the Operator Guide) because the letters/numbers are so small. Probably would be easier to read if the back lighting was white, instead of blue.

I'll see how the 50ah Lithium holds up running the Garmin 93sv & Livescope system after 6-7hrs runtime, and will report on that tomorrow evening.

Got out today & the Lithium battery performed flawlessly for about 6hrs. Then the Garmin shut off and I couldn't get it to come back on, so I figured I'd run it dead. Got home & put it on the charger (test function) and it said the battery was "good" @ 80% and 12.3v .... so now I'm a bit confused. I'll give it another chance before giving up on it, but next time I'll be taking my old starter battery as backup in case I'm out longer than 6hrs.

Was the Garmin and Livescope the only thing connected to the battery?
