    Default Welcome back my friends!

to the show that never ends,
am so glad you could attend
in the last episode of on the dock on my lunch break there was this turtle and his/her leech that started off my visit .
And to be sure it was no cake walk to get a fish to bite, tried and tried and nada for about 10 minutes , thought maybe a nudge at one point , but still not sure as the wind was ripping and some kind of West Texas front was rolling thru the area full of yellow dust and the temperature fell 10 or more degrees in a quick minute with a spray or 2 of rain in it ....
bought said oh well , this is just one of them visits where it is pretty clear it ain't gunna happen .....
then as I reached the end of the dock and had little hope of ketchna crappie in my sometimes small mind ....
K A B OOOO M and man did it hammer and fight !
A minute or 3 later K A B OOOO M and man did hammer and fight too !
then off course there was a regular KABOOM and a small Kaboom and then ,,,,,
a lose board and down I went and hammered my faithful old Shimano terribly to the point of it might have to retire ....
So did this lunch break have its ups and downs , heck yes and then some , stopped at Olsen's on the way back and bought me a new reel and looked over the water dogs and back to work I went ....
btw the giveaway in the contest thread started if you are so inclined to play roll the dice ....
.....back and leg hurt still , but think I might be ok to go ketch soon again , careful as you pass move along , move along .....
    KABOOM is near
p.s. am wondering if the leech/turtle blood on the jig helped or not ....

tried several time lapse image captures on the one slightly larger crappie than the other large one , we dont see many crappie in the 16 inch range locally
she was a dandy big girl for sure and quite possibly a water body record size fishee , just a tad over 2 is the record there and she was very likely above that just a tad over 2 is my guess ....

    Nice one!
No more falling, that’s hard on the body.

Didn't anyone tell you it hurts when you fall like dat...and we don't heal as fast as we once did, for sure. Be careful out der my friend. Super nice slab. Sorry to hear about 'ole faithful needing to be replaced...

It's not the fall but the sudden stop that has made me sore a many a time also
Heal up quick and get back after them. Certainly some nice ones

Wow, that does look like a 2+er. Nice catch and that other thing under the water looked kind of scary!
