Default Living it's best life it was

AND THEN KABOOM ! some mean ole big green fish goes and eats ya and then spits ya up during a lengthy capture routine ....
so your floating up on top all messed up with just a wee bit of life still in ya ,then along comes some fella with a camera and picks you up for a picture ....
then tosses you back in with the hopes you might survive the ordeal
    and .....
THEN KABOOM AGAIN ! 2 gulls see ya and come along and rip ya out of the water and play tug a war with ya ....
Not totally sure if it was its best life is me , but for sure it was his last one...

seems the big mama bass done staged up all under the dock prepping for the spawn is what I think , sure are ruining my crappie lunch break spot ,
they be eating everything under the dock up , hardly any bites now and when they do it is often some kinda big mean fish and NOT a crappie !

Rough rough life for that one. Nice bass I'm sure was fun to catch.

I was fishing for Crappie about a week ago. Had already taken two very good ones when I hooked what later proved to be a 10.25" Crappie. For some reason he just stopped coming in. After a few seconds, line started peeling off my ultralight rig and eventually I worked a gigantic Largemouth to the surface that had just the tail of my Crappie sticking out of his/her throat. The bass wasn't really fighting, just didn't want to let go of the Crappie and I was able to get it almost to the boat, got my net in my left hand and was sliding the bass into the net when it finally coughed up the Crappie and dropped back into the depths. Geez Louise, the bass was EASILY an 11 or 12 pounder, easily. The Crappie went into the livewell, but although it was bruised up a bit, I suspect it would have survived being released.
