Research today as you can guess gave me a 1200 to 1500 possibly higher value .
Further research indicates it will not self penetrate body armor.

Pretty cool Ketchn. Thanks for sharing
Some of those Microtechs can go upwards of 10 grand. My late bother and I bought and sold knives on eBay from 2000-2003. I was the front man with the money to buy the product. He would scour the county side for folks wanting to sell their whole collection. We would then most of the time break up the collection and sell each knife individually. People will pay a lot of money if they are just missing one knife to complete a series. Lost count of the number of knives we paid around 20 bucks for and sold for 150-300 bucks. Got a hold of quite a few very plain..ugly in my opinion….Japanese pen knives. I didn’t see what folks wanted in those knives but they sold like hotcakes.

WOW lots of opinions here . I wanted to reply earlier but was busy.
I'm forever sold on double action (auto out AND in) OTF. I'm on my third (4-5 years). Not only do I used them a 100 times a day, I'm an ex smoker so I play with it whenever I'm idle.
Grindwork.com has a great selection I buy them for gifts when they're on sale. Lightning Elite are painted so they look like crap quickly, but I buy them for $30-40 knowing I could lose it or break it doing un-knife jobs.
I flick the switch, make my cut and retract the blade and keep holding the knife while working ready for the next cut. You should hear me breaking down boxes. But I never cut myself because the blade is always retracted when I don't need to be cutting. I also never set the knife down because the blade is retracted.
So this particular knife never rusts and holds an edge very well. The steel is just soft enough that you can sharpen it easily. Can you stab someone with? Never tried, but it has a better chance than a folding blade.
I used the carry the $10 Gerber skeleton knives. They were great because you didn't cry over a broken tip or loss. They have the pocket clip and sharpen easily.
I have a few high dollar knives but I can't bring myself to use them because I will certainly abuse them, plus I can buy 10 decent blades for the price of one good one.
My pocket knife is the $10 Gerber mentioned above. I have a screwdriver kit with all manor of weird bits. One of them fits the star shaped screws that Gerber uses to attach the spring clip meant to secure the knife. I carry my knife in my pocket, not on it. So I remove the clip. If anyone needs to replace their clip, let me know, as I have two I think stashed on my work bench.

Old enough to know better and way too old to care!
I started carrying this one late summer that's been sitting around since a banquet a few years ago. Has held it's edge better than any pocket knife I've had. Field dressed my antelope this past October and only ran it across the bottom of a coffee cup to bring back to new.
