I’ve been using the Spyder-Loc for 8 years, very satisfied. Tite-Lok, Spyder-Lok, or something better?

Hi Teks are awesome...simple and rugged. If I was going with anything else it would be Tite Lok singles.

I've used others, but purchased Hi-Tek's holders for a couple of reasons. One - I could put them up front on the left side and back just a little farther (from the gunnel) than the ones on the right, and wouldn't have to take them down in order to deploy or stow my trolling motor. Two - I've used the "forked" style holders, and found myself getting jabbed in the wrist when quickly grabbing the rod ... unpleasant enough when the rubber coating is still on, and potentially injurious when the coating is no longer there.

I've had the baits on my 14' rods get hung, not noticing until the rod is bent nearly to the max, and still not have the rod come out of the U cradle on my Hi-tek holders ... and mine are the Elite version, not the Extreme version (which has a deeper cradle than the Elites)

I do fish millenium as stated earlier and prefer them. I've owned Hi Tek in the past and it was a great product and CallShy/HiTek is a stand up guy. You gonna get your moneys worth either way

I’ve had a few different brands over the years but I’ve been running HiTek rod holders on my last two boats. They haven’t failed me yet.

I also use Hitek and very happy with them, that said there's a lot of different brands and prices. Sometimes it depends on how much you want to pay + amount of use they'll get. So many choices it's hard to decide so let time of use and price control what you buy.
