with 4lb nanofil, of all the crappie rods i own, this one tops all of them by a margin when it comes to sensitivity and casting distance, with the 6 1/2 ft ACC rod second. also the Daiwa is 7ft and i lighter than the ACC 6 1/2 footer. the only rod i have not tried is the Sam Heaton SS 7ft model. not sure if it's a common incident, but the other day when fishing with the Daiwa rod i felt a slight thump set the kook and a crappie must have been swimming by and bumped the jig, set the hook and hooked it on the back, i was rather impressed by that.

Not the first good review I’ve read on these rods. I haven’t used one so I’m kinda uneducated.

well after trying a few other rods, i tried the BPS Airstream PTC rod yesterday a guy had one at the lake where we were, i ask if i can make a few cast, looking for my 3rd rod for the boat, i think i am going to get another Daiwa as i mentioned, i notice they are 79.95 list price, i paid that for mine, curious if anyone might know if any one online discounts these rods. this rod is amazing, and what puzzles me is you don't hear about them i the crappie game. might be a wolf in sheeps clothes.
