Getting after them
some 48 hours later, I returned to said place of the sinking of the phone, not much changed other than my failure to get that there "STUPID BIG" crappie to bite my jig again ....
Of course the folks in the area that all know about the ordeal were surprised to see me back so soon and had to for sure crack some jokes and say stuff like WOW you are a brave soul to get in with the gators and nasty things living in that lake .
report is as follows , typical summer pattern for the most part , not many large fish under there right now , but a fair to decent bite is still going on up under the docks ....
until I find that there fish again and we meet eye to eye , it will be on my agenda to reintroduce it to my a new phone for what is hopefully a few more images that i can retrieve off a dry phone that still works properly .....
and KABOOM is STILL the word in both wet and dry conditions btw

Awesome job getting back out there and putting the KABOOM on those fish again.

Nice photos and follow up story, Ketchn. That big guy is still out there. I doubt it has been ketched - you would have heard something.

across the lake on the other side I did in fact ketch one huge crappie with a healed over "split" tail one fall , it was split to the quick and grew back with a permanent split , about 3 or 4 months later I ketched the very same fish about 10 feet from where it was the first time I ketched it .
It amazed me it eluded all the throngs of anglers on that public dock and grew so large and even actually bit my jig on 2 separate occasions , so never say never my friend , it could happen that fish in my wet phone archive might for sure still hang around and let me hold it one more time ,,,,stranger things have happened you know
