I waited for a year and half to buy a new boat. Even the used boats were priced at a premium. I got a deal on used boat with a undersized motor. Got a new Merc with 8hrs on her and installed in the boat. I have added everything except livescope so far and it fishes great. Finding any trolling motor with spot lock takes some effort.

Eventually the market may flood with used boats and supply levels will return

I thought boat prices would tank due to the pandemic. The exact opposite happened.

    Ditto and with inflation...

I just looked at the dealer website I bought my boat from. Identical boats to mine are now $9k more than what I paid for my 21 last August. Only difference is they are 22s.

I went to the boat show in Jan. and bought one of only 3 boats the dealer had in stock. I did not have the intention of buying just then, but after talking with many of the dealers at the show, I knew not to wait. Got what color and style I wanted so it's living with me now!

Believe it of not Ford HAD a chip factory HERE, but closed it down and sent it to China. Now look at their problem.

Profits over people eventually bites everyone. Even those of us that just want to fish, eh? I have an extra trolling motor, nothing fancy, but sounds like now is the time to put it up for sale.
