Crappie whisperer! You could ketch them throwing a jig into a bath tub. Great looking fish
Many would suggest a boat
some would suggest electronics and a boat
some would suggest live bait
yet others would suggest watching countless hours of others ketchn them
below is an example of how to ketch crappie , none of it had anything to do with the above mentioned ways to ketch crappie .
hit a pond , started at the dam ,nothing
moved to the east side , nothing
moved to the west side ....2
moved to the south side ....BINGO 29 more crappie , 2 bluegill ,and 2 bass in an hour !
a gentle north wind was pushing most likely, a bait source towards a flat on that end of the pond.
now is it always that easy to find them and predict where they will be , most certainly NOT !
and when the wind died right before sunset and went the other way .....just like that it was OVER !
I was using a tandem set up under a float "scouting" for desired depth .
My first few fish were all on the top jig , reset my set up and let it rain down on them .
these fish were not shallow for the spawn ,but they were indeed very shallow .
so in your wanderings ,keep in mind the wind direction , it is much like when you hunt .
KEEP it in your face and you will ketch more fish ....
tip of the week and yes ....
KABOOM is the word
