    Default Lake level fluctuations

How long do you guys that fish lakes that raise 8-12’ over a period of a week think that it takes for crappie to adjust to move shallow?

Depends on when the food moves into the area. .I would say once the mud settles out of the water some it will be game on. I past over the Chick this evening on the way home. Water was still up but not muddy in the backwaters. I am going to carry a couple dozen minnows and see if they want to bite tomorrow night. I had some time scheduled off work. They snap back pretty quick. For a fish rain water runoff brings all sorts of tasty things into the water ways. That is why the fish will stack up at the mouths of creeks. It is a buffet. The stream that crosses the property is running mostly clear now. They will be back to their normal feeding pattern now.

Lots of variables on this question . But fish react quickly to rising or falling water levels
