The stepdaughter and her husband may have some interest. The step son not so much. If it isn't gaming it doesn't exist. Hard to get kids to have an appreciation for the outdoors

LOL, getting that little spring in there can be challenging! Congrats on a great find.

It was only the leg of the spring. Tip of a small screwdriver and it was good to go. I have had that mechanism apart on a different reel. It canbe tedious to get back together

LOL, I learned about that spring when I was much younger. I have a habit of taking things apart, to see how they work. My Dad reassembled a number of “projects” in my youth. Anyway, while doing a cleaning and oiling of mine, I took the bail assembly apart and that little spring came out. It took a while to figure out how to get it back together correctly! Your comment brought back a great old memory. Mines not in as good a shape as yours, but it still has that wonderful click when you reel it. Have fun with it!!!

That click makes a good pace counter when swimming jigs. Your ears will tell ya when you are at the right pace with that slow click click rhythm. Great looking reel you got there
