Default Crappie Stick vs Southern Crappie jig rod?

Has anyone used both? Looking to get one soon, which has the best backbone? Which is lighter?

Going after them in the pads

Can’t help you. Once I bought my first Southern Crappie Rods and talked to Ed Duke, I never had a reason to compare other rods.

Have you used the jig rods? I'll be jigging in thick deep pads.

I’ve used his 10 foot Stump Jumper. Awesome rod for vertical jigging or LiveScope. He has it in a 12’ too ( I think, may be 13?)

I just checked Ed’s web site. He has a 12/2T Stump Jumper. That would be a heavier action than my 10/2. It would be great for your pad fishing.

What is pad fishing, does that mean lily pads?

I saw a B n M pole today, something like Ultralight bottom seat. I think they have 10, 11, 12 footers. There is a scooped out portion of the foam handle that you place your thumb and you are able to rest your thumb on the actual graphite instead of the foam. Makes sense to me. I am looking for a good jig pole. Unsure of what length to get. Brand, I am open. I have a B n M Sam Heaton Super Sensitive 9 ft but I use it to cast with. I know they make longer ones of that one, too. Hope to get more feedback on these various jig poles.
