When I joined, was driving a ChevyS10,and loved it, so it wasn't hard to decide.
My Grandparents brought me up, in a small town in Western New York, and instilled the love for fishing in me.
I’ve been fortunate to participate in this sport for 70 plus years, have fished in various places from Alaska to the Amazon River in Peru.
Spent 10 years in the Country of Mexico, 7 of which I chased the elusive Roosterfish while Surf Fishing. It was here where I acquired my handle of pescador ( Spanish for fisherman).
Have lived in Florida the last 7 years, now fishing for Crappie ( Specks). I have slowed down a lot, but fishing is and always will be my Passion.
Regards,
Pescador

Like most of my tales, this one takes a minute. I have a deep seated love of flying targets, live or dead. I’ve chased clays now for over 30 years and with the cost of everything going up steadily I don’t shoot near as much as I like. I’ve followed several different hobbies including rifle and 2 way radio, but I’ve always come back to fishing. I met a gent at a now gone club in Orlando that was from the Indy area. I was shooting actively at the time so I gave him my number and told him that when he was coming to town, let me know and we would shoot some. Years passed and Dave and I shot frequently and then I began driving over the road. Eventually, I started carrying a Browning over under in a breakdown case and some reloads under the bunk. When I could get a day off I would see if there was a club I could go to and shoot some and meet some new folks. It worked out well. One Saturday I was In a club in Fortville, IN and turned around to find Dave with his hand out to shake mine. This was his home club! I was floored, small world. When I could get to it I would come and spend the day at that club. I didn’t have lots of extra money, I always did this on a tight budget. I would shoot a few rounds and sit. Dave wanted to jerk my chain one day and said “ you need a sign that says “ will work for targets”, you’re a skeetbum”. Taken as it was meant in good fun we all laughed because he wasn’t far from the truth. When I started here in ‘07 I thought about a name no one else would consider, and this has stuck. I do t shoot much anymore but still enjoy it. Never was much for the competition end of it, I just enjoy the game, comraderie, seeing the target break, and the people I met along the way. I’ve been on a squad a couple of times with competitors that were ranked high an the world, one was #3 at the time. I didn’t know that til after we separated and I talked with some of the other shooters. Regular guy. I’ve shot 100 registered birds in my life, broke 96. I always say that God has touched my life in many ways. I take away a lot of good memories and very few bad. This was something I see as he allowed me to do along the way and still take care of family business. And so the Skeetbum still travels and meets some great folks.......

When my catch is coming near the boat and gives that sideways glimpse while trying to get away I normally see green, brown, or silver. I prefer to see the silver side. Means I have either a crappie or bass.
