Whatever works! You are the JUDGE!
If I am pitching a 1/32 jig around blowdowns on river & creek banks, should I us 4# mono or 10/2 pp?
Reason I ask is pp braid seems to me to have more drag or bow in the water.
Using 11 ft poles and hi vis line.
Trying to pitch and glide before I move in close to vertical jig.
Hope I'm doing this right.
Also, is 4# mono sensitive enough to vertical jig 15 fow or less?
Is so, I may drop braid for now because there a tons of fish in 5 to 10 fow right now.

I’m new to it, but I’m using 6 lb mono on my long pole with good results

God Bless You
Always use Kastking braid - 4#/ 2# diam. no drag even using 1/32 oz jigs.
I tried 15lb braid last year for this type of fishing and had a lot of problems with it tangling on the rod tip and on brush.
I went back to my 10lb hi vis mono.
( I don’t fish much clear water )
Anything smaller and after a couple hours pitching it doesn’t want to feed good thru the guides.
I use 12 and 14 ft poles.
All that said and I’m thinking about trying 30 or 40 lb braid with a leader just to see how it performs.

I would go 6 mono for the slower fall with a 1/32 and more resistance to breakage than 4 mono ,braid not only ketches the wind it has a terrible amount of drag in the water as well

Bingo, thanks guys.
Ketchn, do you see more bites than you feel when vertical jigging and pitching?
Sounds like you are new to this style of fishing ? It depends on the bite, but from my experience I feel more bites than I see.
While vertical jigging, the key is keeping slack out of your line on the fall.

I use good 10# mono for what you are talking about!
