    red ear really do fight well , I ketch very few in these parts but they pull like trains when I do

    Chinquapin as we call them. When you find a bed of them, it's on. I've caught 30-40 in one spot the size of a kitchen table. Mighty good eating too.

    Nice going brother... they be some fun ketchin, and some great table fare. If I ever make it back to So Cal, I know a man in Riverside that has some shell crackers cornered that are unbelievably big... It was fun.

    Fun stuff. I just last year started to target red ears and did pretty good using some tiny hand tied jigs. I fished a lot of the same trees the crappie use during the spawn.
