Well guys...good guesses...but Windstone did get the company name right.
It was Arnold Tackle Corp. out of Paw Paw, Michigan. It was founded in the late 30's by Delavan Arnold. He did sell it to the Paw Paw Bait Company in 1960. Rights to the designs and lures are now owned by the Shakesphere Company. The name of the lure that I was talking about was the "Hopalong" Lure. Below are some pictures of the Hopalong. The metal piece under the belly that makes it hop looks very similar to the metal mouth on a Abogast Jitterbug. .
