So happy all ended well. One thing that may change the outcome of an incident like yours is the safety switch under the seat. Know someone who hit a hole and was thrown off the tractor and the Bush hog ran over his legs. All could've been avoided by not bypassing that little annoying switch.

As I get older(62) I have had a couple heat exposures, sometimes the sun isn’t a factor as heat and humidity is.Seems like you cannot drink enough water to beat it. Probably because we started too late.Glad your ok,the grass is always going to beat us,just remember the grass will continue to grow but eventually we will get a chance to catch up!Take care, keep hydrated, good fishing!

Glad to hear you are ok, what a scary situation to be in. I have overheated before but not to the point of passing out though. Its tough to deal with heat now, seems like it changes you after it happens. that could be the reason I like to fish in the wintertime. Prayers for you.

Very thankful that it was not worst. Your experience should be a lesson to us all. Praise God you are okay.

Wow!! I'm so glad to hear that everything is generally okay in the end and that the Good Lord was looking over you.
I'm sure it thoroughly terrorized Ms. Linda to see you slumped over on a tractor that was heading for the highway and/or the swamp. I'm so thankful that the Lord sent a dutiful and highly qualified passer by that could/would intervene before Ms. Linda would have gotten hurt or worse trying to rescue her beloved husband... cause I guarantee you she would have found a way to stop that tractor and get to you no matter what it would have taken. I'm sure it was a very stressful and sudden episode for both of you.
I've heard it said: After surviving a traumatic event, (like this), many people have PTSD-like symptoms at first, such as being unable to stop thinking about what's happened, (as you say Ms Linda is). Sure, fear, anxiety, anger, depression, guilt — are all common and even typical reactions to trauma. Granted, (too), the majority of people exposed to trauma do not develop long-term post-traumatic stress disorder; but nevertheless, getting timely help and support may prevent normal stress reactions from getting worse and developing into PTSD. This may mean talking this experience through thoroughly and frequently as well as maybe turning to family and friends who will listen and offer their comfort and insights; try turning to church friends or others in your faith community; it may even mean seeking out a mental health professional for a brief course of therapy (just) to be on the safe side.
I'm not trying to play Dr. Phil or nothing like that... but I can assure you that from now on... Ms. Linda will have a deep seated (or ingrained) anxiety about seeing you exert yourself in hot weather and/or seeing you get on that tractor... at least until such a time as she can put everything back into the right perspective again, (which I'm sure will take some time).
I recommend that you follow up with the doctor about your heat exhaustion and I'm not so sure I wouldn't have Ms. Linda checked and/or treated for post traumatic stress disorder.
Again, I'm so glad to hear that this didn't have a much worse outcome.
God Bless both of you. Wayne

A very special thanks to all my friends here for the prayers, thoughts, and suggestions. My head is still a little fuzzy but I'm feeling much better. Last night Linda was able to sleep as the incident is slowly fading into the background. I ask y'all for continued prayers. Today I'm hiding from the 99° temperature and 120° heat index, man it brutal out there.
God Bless all and Have a Happy 4th.
