    same here. I started out using my moms kitchen electric knife as a youngster and then bought an american angler cus it was "made for filletin". NOT. regular kithen one gets just as close to the bone as hand knifes. Never use anything else.

    I use a Rapala electric knife. Pretty good and you can get replacement blades easy for it.

    rapala cordless, I like it overall but one thing I dislike about it is its on button....its kinda uncomfortable when you are using it for more than 15 mins or so...anyone else have that problem?

    Just bought a $9.86 Black and Decker Fillet knife from wally-world (kitchen appliance section of Wal-Mart) and it works great. Just as good if not better than the AA pro.

    I agree with those on the board who say the blades bend and followed the dorsal aspect better.

    My Dad bought 2 because of this thread.

    No more by hand and more like this...

    Update on the Black and Decker. It works very well after a week of cleaning fish. I followed what this guy did in this video and it worked out great.

    What surface do you cut on to keep the blades sharp?
