Prayers for everyone affected by these floods. I want to fish, too, but my wants take the back seat for any wishes the flooded folks have. Hang tight, Brothers!

My sons in-laws have been out of their house on the Ms for 2 weeks. The house is OK but they have to go in on weekends in my 14' boat.

M R Dux, I spoke with a co-worker in Minneapolis today, he said the snow pack is so high he doesn't have anyplace with shovel the stuff they're going to get in the next couple days. I hate to think what impact that snow melting is going to have on an already bad situation.

Doesn't sound like the water is going to go down until the 4th of July.

As mentioned earlier the Ohio is way up also. It's starting to recede here in the Meldahl pool after cresting Tuesday at a little over 50' I hate to say it but it's looking like a repeat of last year.

I had already been concerned about the snow melt up North. It'll prolly be May or June before it gets down here, and it has always impacted the Mississippi in past years. Hoping that she goes down before then.

Snow melt will affect the MS and Ohio but probably not the Cumberland or TN unless the local lakes are being held high to allow the rivers to recede. Hopefully we are looking at our current situation in the rear-view mirror by then.
