    I hear all this stuff, but you diaper babies don't understand that for us older mature folks, anything below 70 is "freezing".

    Breaking ice ? Sometimes we throw a bag of ice on the pavement so we can get it all in the cooler .

    This is a subliminal message to all of those of you with that "gene". The message is that ice is necessary down here because of the weather. Whereas y'all can just air freeze your catch (assuming you can even launch your boat), we have to take extra measures to ensure freshness.....year round. ;-)

    Air freezing is the best part of ice fishing. Just throw the fish next to the hole you caught it from and pick it up later.

    That is how we mark the quality holes that have fish in them from the ones that don't have fish in them! By the number of frozen fish laying next to the hole.

    Another plus is you can drive on it right to your favorite spot!....and you can do donuts getting there.
