I have not heard of this SOS line and would prefer some line slightly heavier. Where does one go on the web

SOS is blue tinted like Stren right? All the crappie marketed lines like Mr. Crappie and Vicious seem cheap enough in 1/4 lb spools. Do y'all like it because they make a 2lb size, is that why you choose it over the other yellow crappie lines? I don't think the regular crappie lines go smaller than 4lb. I buy crappie magnet bodies and their double-cross jigs online from them, but never tried the SOS line.

SOS 2# test does not come in Ice Blue....it is only available in Moss Green. I have used it for years. I like it as a good all around line....knot strength.......cast ability.....limpness......and price. I have a 20,000 yard spool of it....I am an avid UL angler and the majority of the line I use is from 1# test to 2# test. You can find many 2# test lines that will do better in several category’s but at a higher price. I have and use other 2# test lines that I use for a specific application but SOS 2# test is my go to line.

    Regards

A 400 yd. spool of 2# test SOS is available at Walmarts for $7.65:

    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Leland-Lu...-Test/20629887

The bulk spool of 10,000 yds. is going for $40.00 + shipping, from Trout Magnet (out of stock right now). Still a heck of a lot cheaper than even what Walmarts is offering - IF you need that much line.

Personally, I use 2# test Fireline Crystal for my main line, with a fluorocarbon leader. A reel fill of this fused line last a couple of seasons. Much more economical than any mono type line. And this line casts like a dream, with no mono line hassles. Never needing to change in a season is a real plus. And the improved sensitivity and strength is outstanding as well. JMO!
