yea luckily we dont have any slot limmits on my lake used to for bass but they lifted it a few yrs back but like i said our crappie average a lb or better a small fish is still around 3/4 of a lb and i usualy throw them back to grow since its pretty rare to catch one that small and the diference between a 3/4 and 1lb is almost all meat

not to argue with you, but how do you have big fish without little ones??

im shure there are small fish but ive never even heard of anything smaller than maby a half lb caught, im geussing its becals of all the predatory fish we have a huge population of bass that get varry large 10 pounders are drug out fairly often and the biologists say the chanel and flathead population is out of hand so smaller fish are probally forced to hide out like baitfish to survive

keep crappie in cooler months. keep any bass under 14" where legal. they make great sandwiches. i catch some crap sometimes, at the ramp, for the bass but thats just too bad. some just have to complain about everything. lol

With my ability to catch crappie you won't have to worry about me hurting the population. If I can get at least four or five they go home to get eatin. I do a lot of blue catfishing and only keep a few 8-15 pounders a year.
