I feel that the black have more aggresive days. Meaning, when the bite is slow I seem to catch more black than white. On good days the mix seems a toss up.

I like em both. Love pulling jigs for blacks and cranks for whites. Plus the yum factor is the same.

We have both, I prefer the blacks. They seem to have more attitude.

I think Blacks fight better but both eat good . Most lakes I fish are dominated by Whites but we have small Blacks . I occasionally hit other lakes that have big Blacks and they are pretty fish . It is cool to catch an occasional Black with the black stripe (Arkansas Blacknose crappie )

It seems like whites get bigger, but if both are the same length the black crappie will weigh more.

I fish Truman lake a lot and catching 12-15" white crappie is nothing unusual. My local lakes are stocked with black crappie, and catching one over 14" is fairly rare...for me anyway. That may have quite a bit to do with each lakes food sources as well.

Spawning color goes to the black crappie easily.
