Anyone ever try and duplicate an aluminum soft plastic injection mold? I've seen plenty of videos on duplicating a soft plastic lure but, not the mold itself. The plastic jigs that im trying to duplicate are too small for duplicating with clay or plaster of paris. I do have an aluminum injection mold that was made for me and I'm not willing to give the company more money for another.
Thanks in advance ....

I would think it would be easy for a machine shop with a CNC machine to make one
X2 with Monk!! If the mold is already made buy it! It will a lot cheaper than having one made.
If these jigs are small and you're not making them for production needing a real lot of them. Then why not buy the aluminum mold blank and take a dremel and cut the jig style out yourself. You can also polish it out with the dremel to make it smooth. Just try on something else to start with to see if you can make the design you want then duplicate it on the aluminum mold blank. If you are not very good at it get your friends to try it on say a block of wood etc. there is always a artist among them.
