    Thumbs up Occupation...

    Great thread!!

Have been in education for 29 years (same school district).
Have taught middle school science for the last 15.

First starting fishing with my dad when I was knee high to a grass hopper...running trot lines for flatheads. Have been chasing crappies for the last 20 years.

Always loved the outdoors and wanted to do something in fisheries management. But would have been hard to make a living at it. I am a civil engineer by degree and education. Worked 2 summers surveying for C B & Q Railroad and 2 summers for Santa Fe Railroad during college. National Guard basic training and AIT in Fort Polk, LA, then first full-time job as a bridge designer for Santa Fe Railroad in Chicago, got married shortly after moving to Chicago. (Same) Wife and I have a son and a daughter and two very young grandkids.Always worked in the System Structures Department with various titles, so I got moved around a little-Chicago, Galveston, Albuquerque and Kansas City Area. Then Santa Fe merged with Burlington Northern to form the BNSF, happily took an early retirement offer a few years ago. And now we live on a lake and are very happy.
