I'm sure she will miss it as much as you will. Look at it this way, you still have plenty of good years ahead.
My 13 year old daughter says she has homework now that school is back in session, but she'll get it done early just to drop a few jigs with dad after dinner. These are times both of us will remember the rest of our lives. I'm sure it's the same for your granddaughter and you. While it can be sad, it also means we are doing our job No video game, hip hop group or other influence can do that. As the saying goes...."Ya done good"

Seems like you two had a great time and made lots of good memories! I remember my grandfather taking me fishing, he is the one who taught me the most about it!! Those were great time!

    Great pics!!

I keep a photo in our bedroom of my kids in front of one of my Skeeter bass boats that was taken after an after-school fishing trip my then 7-8 year old daughter and I took. She caught a spotted bass about 2 pounds and is proudly displaying it. She now has a daughter and son of her own who are both older than she was in that photo. Neither one of them has ever shown any desire to go fishing with Pappy (me) but I'll gladly take a day off and load up the gear if they ever do. Their Mom grew out of the fishing fever. I'm hoping the 2 grandkids grow INTO it.

Cherish the times we have with them when they are young. They grow up too fast.
