Sunday, August 24th
The doctor just came in. Results of the brain MRI scans showed the signs of the stroke are still in my brain. The stroke doctors have passed me to the heart doctors. Have to take a test tomorrow where they put a camera down my throat to take photos of the back of my heart. Doctors say I should have complete recovery in about three weeks.
I have been in the hospital ten of the past thirteen days.

Ship I had that test when I was in the hospital after my bypass surgery. Since my heart beat was not right they kept wanting to shock me, but they did that in Lufkin before I got to Houston and I felt it big time, but not suppose to feel it. Anyway I tell that to tell this, LOL! Anyway they want to shock me again for the second time after my surgery, but I was telling them I feel that and I will let you shock me if I am not awake!!! So they agreed and decided since they had to put me to sleep anyway they would do that procedure too so they could look at the back side of my heart to see if there were any colts there. So I suspect they are doing the same thing to you here!

Sounds like you might have a lap top next to your bed. That is good and offers encouragement. Thinking of you daily and know the doctors want you to go home
with the best results. Hang in there and show them your a very good patient that does everything the doctors tell you to do. Your attitude sounds positive.

Had tests all day. Lori says hello. They found a small hole in the heart where clots were escaping into the brain. Been back again in the hospital since last Friday. Hope to go home tomorrow finally. Tey will treat it with more medicines.

Ship take it easy on the recovery, please don't rush it, I did. After my triple bypass I was getting along pretty good & was bored so I talked Doc into letting me go back to work a few weeks early, long story short my resistance was low and I ended up with pneumonia- putting more unneeded stress on my heart-- live and learn, sometimes I do it the hard way. prayers to you.
