Thank You..........I was hoping to hear that.
Wow need to proof read
If you put either one on cruise control they will hold the speed you have selected
Gene C & I both bought the Xi5 for one purpose, "anchor lock". It does a much, much better job of holding on a spot than the Terrova. I had two of the Terrova motors before buying the Xi5.
I had interference using the Xi5 built-in transducer. Motorguide sent me a new motor. Same problem. Had a MG Super Center install a grounding clip in the motor as per MG Tech. Did not help.
I have never cared for the built-in transducers for MK or MG. I solved the interference problem by using a transducer stick(www.podunkideas.com)
MK is a great motor & I never had any maintenance problems with the two that I had. The Terrova ''will not" hold you on the spot as well as the Xi5.

I agree with Don G
Don, who did you buy your Xi5 from? Anymore 90% of my fishing is done in the winter two poling sitting on top of beds and this looks like it would work great. Have you spider rigged with it?
Justin,it would be no problem for spider rigging, but don and me do not do any spider riggin, maybe a little in fla when i go,but brush piles and docks are our menu

Hey Dave you might have all your questions asked but here is a up to date video on the XI5 we did at ICAST. Check it out, you might learn some new things they have and are coming out with this fall. - Lowrance & Motor Guide Xi5 At Work - YouTube
Well guys I was going to buy a new XI5 and just happened to check Craigs List last week and a guy had a I Pilot for sale.. So I called him and went and checked it out, picked it up for three bills, needed a prop and did not have a foot control so I ordered one. Got my prop and foot control in the mail and took it out and it seemed to work just fine. It was a joy to be able to not have to steer every three seconds. Thanks for the feed back.
