Yep cool video! And yep somebody had some stank on their fingers.
I agree. Most of the crappies that sucked it right in came at it from the side. The ones that followed its scent trail mostly turned away; a few noncommittally tasted it and spat it out. Had to be something wrong about its scent.
I read here and there that crappies are sight feeders, and scent doesn't matter. This video gives a strong suggestion otherwise, though I would have liked to have seen those same fish offered the same thing covered with a fish attractant.
By the way, what was on the hook? (What was being used to try to catch them?)
It kinda looked like a larvae of some sort, I thought I saw it wiggling a bit a few times.
I need to to know where that lake is!! Whole lot of tire kickers. Interesting to say the least.
Ive vet wanted to run a go pro in many places I fish, but the crappie fishing spots I have to carry my dive gear to get the camera back.
Here is the original link in YouTube. I didn't make this. I found it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlKbvl36vZg
