I have hunted most all my life. Went duck hunting the first time at 5 and shot 3 that morning. They were on the water and dad said that is the last ones you will ever shoot on the water.

Also Deer, Squirrel, Dove and most anything I could, but today I don't hunt any more because of my physical problems and the cost. I do still have all my guns and love to just go shoot the. My son hunts for us as he is in love with deer hunting.

Redtick- I live in North Madison county and used to hunt until 2 years ago. I didn't see a deer all morning, then called a buddy to fish between the morn. and eve. hunts. We had one of the best days crappie fishin I have ever had. It was the 1st real fall crappie fishin I had done. I concluded my vacation days from work were better spent on the water than in a tree. Never did go again, sold my gun this fall. I dont have anything against hunting, just not for me.

I spend most of my time on the water or the golf course. This weekend, I am taking my son of the juvenile deer hunt. I used to go hunting when I was a kid with my father but I was never to crazy about it.

I used to live to deer hunt, but now I live to crappie fish. The days I had off last week were schedule for muzzleload hunting. I took the days off but never made it to the woods. I went to the lake every day I had off, and caught a lot of good crappie, I think I like crappie fishing this time of year better than in the spring. The crappie are real aggresive and you catch a lot of good size fish.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

I have followed a Brittany around for years after quail and pheasants. Last season I was thinking of starting another pup but with the terrible season I didn't think there would be enough wild birds to get another dog trained. It will just be a few more hunts with my nine year old Brittany and I'm done hunting. It just wouldn't be any fun hunting if I weren't following my own dog.

The farming pratices sure have done in the wild bird populations.

Now it will just be the winter crappie fishing. Sure will miss the exercise and romps in the fields. I always liked dark cloudy days to hunt in just like I like the dark cloudy days to fish in.

I enjoy deer hunting in rifle season and turkey hunting. I'm still young but I have always said I don't intend to hunt the rest of my life.

Man, it never gets to cold to fish! We just switch from crappie to sauger in Jan and Feb. Actually, Paul likes to deer hunt, but it really interferes with my fishing!!!

I love ot fish but do take a couple of weekends off in the Fall to deer hunt then again in the spring some mornings are spent out turkey hunting and the evenings on the lake. I enjoy them both and try to make time for all my hobbies.
Hope your lines stay wet and your livewells full.:D
