I'd rather have my Terrova than finder. It runs the Gaumet on finders. I don't have one with GPS yet but going to shortly. A lot of the fancy high dollar stuff is nice on a finder if you can afford it but a color unit with GPS would be my advice as a starting point. Work within your budget. One thing you will find on here is we will spend all the money you will let us.

You are right rees, but the best money spent ON the boat would be the Terrova!

Had a V2 w/ip and replaced it with a Terrova w/ip. Definitely worth the extra $$. I would do it again without hesitation.

As soon as my maxxum wears out (best tm to date for me), a terrova(IP) will be the replacement for sure. I know I will never place another motor guide on anything I fish out of. It took alot of money and frustration before I realized it, way more than a new terrova to say the least.

Very worth the dollars. I have a v2 with ipilot and have never used the foot pedal and never will. I'm with sat on this one...best money I've ever spent on anything for my boat!!!

I have a Terrova 80# 24 volt I=PILOT on my Ranger 1760 and I absolutely could not do without it. Buy as much poundage as you can afford. As far as a fish finder, go to a local BASS PRO SHOP and get them to go over all the features with you. Buy as big of a screen as you can afford.
