    Default Minnows or Jigs???

No discrimination here, I always have jigs and minnows with me. There is a reason Capps and Coleman are the best tournament fisherman in the world and them boys always use a minnow.

They won the tournament here on Lake Conway a couple years ago with minnows.
Don Blakley won it the year before with jigs...

    Default Minnows or Jigs???

Donald who is a pretty good friend of mine won the Single Pole Championship (good job buddy) but Capps and Coleman won spider rigger minnows on their go round. Donald is a heck of a fisherman but he also uses minnows lots of the time. No GOOD fisherman limits himself to one method.

It's as simple as this....I use what's the most convenient at the given time....and what I have the most confidence in....I figure if everybody does this then it'll all be alright....and you'll catch fish too!

I really question how much color really matters...

Minnows only come in one color... So they can't be too picky right?

Except for the pinks, which do not exists in lakes that I am aware of.
never understood pink either, yet sometimes they hit the electric chicken color.

tourny guys use artificial lures over live bait because of sponsors. just my 2 cents, which is probably worth less than that since ive never been in a tournament.

    Minners Don't!
I can catch 20+ crappie on a tube, 50+ on a hair jig!

Sounds like facts to me... No need for opinions.

I also use jigs for bream fishing, I will catch 3 to 1, me with a jig you with a cricket.
Same thing... I will catch 50+ bream on a jig you will catch 1 on a cricket.

I'd consider myself a jigpole/plastics kinda guy but when i drop the long poles out the front of the boat you can bet there will be a jig/minnow,knat/minnow or just a plain ole minner rig out there to me it's kinda silly to limit yourself to either or.....they both work day in day out so i like to be open minded enough to use whatever is working where ever i'm fishin.

I don't leave anything to chance. Tip every jig I fish with a Minnow. Rarely fish with just plain minnow.

Both. I am often using the "One More Chance Rig." I will place a jig on the bottom and a minnow (Or soft plastic) on the top hook. If I am vertical jigging then I add the sinker Capps -n- Coleman type setup.
