I used the old Style EZ Poleholder rod racks....made my own stands and got them down low and I can fish with my HiTek rodholders right over the rod rack. Name: rod rack.jpg

Thanks for the advice and compliments. It is the first "model" sort of speak. I will see what happens and make more in the future. Just trying some things out. It should work .......I hope. BTW.....I just set those rods on there after I got them mounted. I will have them on there better while traveling. Thanks for the advice though!Thumbs Up
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

I like the work, real nice. My concern is that they're outside the gunnels. Turning close in a parking lot, and we wont even discuss the bonehead factor, which is the other guy who doesn't pay attention and drives into your stuff. I don't have a solution, that's just what came to mind. The idea is good, and the execution is also good. I'm guessing that you mostly troll, or maybe spider rig.

Several hundred miles on these racks already and none lost. They are well secured. Anyway.....the main idea is to keep your boat free of clutter when fishing. You can still put them in the boat for long travel. Little common sense goes a long way! (no disrespect)

Skeetbum.....yes....alot of spider riggin at Kentucky Lake.....got tired of tangled rods and stepping on em!

Nice set up. I use something very similar on my pontoon made for me by Drift Master. You can turn them inboard or out.
