    I think ya'll may have solved my problem. I use the plastic bobber stopper with 3 or 4 holes in it. Will try the string type.
    I am not a big fan of braid because i really like the high vise mono. I think someone makes it in a braid.
    Micro - since we kind off fish the same type of water here in La. what type of braid do you use?
    Big Mack - We normal fish from 12" to 2' deep here in the south La. If i use your set up i would lose alot off ability to be able to flip under trees and docks.

    naw man, you won't lose that ability. Same conditions here in spawn. I use a 4" leader and can flip under the willows with no problem.
    I pulled some beauties out this spring in 1ft of water with it.

    I do use my 10ft Pole with it. I can pitch or place with that reach.
    I also carry a 8ft same rig for further casting or pitchin.
