Had some financial issues come up, and had to put off the purchase until just recently. Got my 10 footer in today. Now I just need to wait for the weather to get warm enough for the crappie to cooperate.

I bet the 12 footer would make an awesome ultralight steelhead float fishing rod.
    Don't worry, catch crappie.

I use BnM Pro trollers for everything except single pole jigging. 8's, 12's & 16's for pulling cranks and 10's, 12's, & 16's for spider rigging.

Can't spider rig here, I'm afraid. Two poles max, and you need a permit that costs extra for the second pole.

I use a 10 footer for vertical jigging, and it is probably my favorite. I'm a big fan of the cork handle. I also use a 10 foot BnM Buck's graphite jiggin rod, but the gold is my favorite.

I have used several rods over the years in my search for the perfect jigging rod. I jig fish only - have a rule that states: "No minnows in the boat!". I have Outlaw, Wally Marshall, Harold Ensley, BnM and a few other specialty jigging rods, like Quantum and Fenwick, . The Outlaw is tough, and has put many a fish in the basket. Same thing with the Wally Marshall. The Harold Ensley is a great rod, but it is only a 6' rod, as is my Fenwick and I like a 10' rod for my fishing style. That being said; the BnM rods I have are the Sam Heaton Super Sensitive, and the Buck's Gold jigging rod. I give the edge to the Bnm rods due to their outstanding sensitivity while jig fishing. The Outlaw gets the edge in durability, and the Ensley rod might be at the top with BnM if it were a 10 footer. Wally needs to make the rods more sensitive, as the tips feel a little soft in comparison to the other rods mentioned. The BnM rods are outstanding jigging rods, and I have been told that Jack, at BnM will back his rods! BnM gets the approval in my humble opinion.

I have both of the same rods your talking about. The Buck's Ultimate has a lot more back bone, but is also a good bit heavier. I like both for different reasons. I long line troll a lot and use braid a good bit so I love the Gold Jig Pole for it's light weight and how it has some give to it so the rod helps to not over pull when using braid. It's the lightest 10' pole I have!

oh and if I want to just swing a crappie into the boat, I would do that a lot faster with the Ultimate and wouldn't with the Gold Jig Pole unless it's small. Wouldn't want to try lifting a 12" crappie with that Gold Jig Pole.

The Buck's Ultimate is my favorite among all that I have. Have caught fish of all sizes/types with that thing. I keep buying different brands/types/sizes but always take the Ultimate.

What a company! I had some trouble with the tip on one of my BnM rods. I contacted BnM to see if there was any kind of warranty, and Jack emailed me telling me to pick out any rod they make and he would send it to me with no charge!!!! What a guy!!! I have a new rod in the mail, and can't believe the high quality customer service at the BnM company!!! Now that is how you get a life long customer!!! Awesome guy and company!!!
