I have only used it a couple months and I really like it. very little memory even in the cold and the strength of the 6lb will straighten a jig right out. I would recommend it.

Question trouble with "Cajun Red" lines ??

I've heard pros & cons on the "Cajun" brand lines ......... There's "Red Cast", then there's "Red Lightnin" -- I don't remember which one it was, that I heard horror stories about (breaks easily, etc). Only red line I've used is Maxima Fibre Glow ... and I haven't used it enough to pass judgement on it.

CrappieDay ... "red" is the first color to change to black, when light is diffused thru the water (either by depth or clarity). Red hooks are usually more effective on baits that are still in the visual range of the fish (clear water, or deep light penetration). The people portraying red as a "dissappearing" color, and a "blood/gill flash" attractant color, are not lying to you ... they're just putting the best "spin" on the two different effects.

    ..........cp

    Default cajun red

I think if fish cannot see red line, they cannot see the red hooks, and that is the reason they bite red hooks better, not that they think the red hook is blood. I know I catch alot more fish with red hooks, whatever the reason.

Very good point. I have also noticed I do much better with red hooks. Never used red line, however.
