Is this the same rig you use for your blade baits too?

I've tried pushing a time or two and I've been using too heavy a weight, I think. I used a 5 oz weight on the end of my line, then I tyed a loop knot about 18 in. above the weight and had a 2 ft. leader attatched to the loop knot. My Bandit was tyed to the end of the leader. That heavy weight kept my rod so bowed I couldn't tell when I had a fish. LOL I'm gonna try it some more using lighter weights.
